Rusty Recommends – Devon’s Doggy Friendly Places

Hello friends, my name is Rusty. But my hoomums call me ‘Rusty Bum, Baby Mouse, Trouble Monkey, What are you eating, Get down, Leave…’ You can take your pick! 🙂

I wanted to share some of my favourite places with you all. I’m quite a nervous pup so I’m always taking the hoomum’s to places where I don’t get too scared. I love living in Devon. One day I’m swimming in the sea, and the next I’m running around on Dartmoor. It’s amazing!

Below is a list of some of my very best places, but I’ve added something for everyone.

Places to eat

The Bistro at Powderham Farm Shop, Powderham Estate, Kenton, Devon, EX6 8JQ https://www.powderhamfarmshop.co.uk/the-bistro

We love going here for breakfast, and they always have yummy biscuits for me too. Here is what they say:

‘Relax in our bright and airy Bistro or pretty walled garden, in the exquisite, tranquil setting of Powderham Estate.

Prepared by our chefs using fresh, seasonal produce from local growers and suppliers, visit us for breakfast, afternoon tea, a light bite, or a more substantial lunch. Catering to all tastes and dietary requirements, the Bistro is open from 9 am – 5 pm on Monday to Sunday.

Located next to our Farm Shop and the Urban & Rural Garden Centre, we offer the perfect destination to relax and refresh after shopping and exploring the surrounding castle grounds, deer park, and nearby Exe Estuary.’

Forest Fungi, Timaru Gardens, Warren Rd, Dawlish Warren EX7 0NGhttps://forestfungi.co.uk/the-cafe/

Rated number 1 on Trip Advisor, we love going to see Scott at Forest Fungi. They’ve got a brand new seating area, with incredible views! They focus on serving amazing food, with ingredients from local suppliers. They grow all their own mushrooms, and you can even take a tour and learn all about growing mushrooms yourself!
